The grand ceremony consists of three parts: Short film "Sail to See China ", Live Story "China Responsibility" and "act performance". In addition to the show, this year's stage design is also upgraded again. Stage designer Sun Chenglong designed the stage shape as a UFO suspending in the air, adding many mechanical devices and props to enrich the functionality and diversity of the stage, and presenting a multi-level and three-dimensional visual effect of the stage design under various mechanical changes. Last year, the design of the water zone was still extended this year. Besides of the fountain effect of the water zone, this year, the mirror effect of the water was used to create the program. This year, it has also integrated many new technologies visually, such as virtual, XR and so on.

The lighting design of the ceremony is held by the visual team led by Wangzhe. The stage design of the ceremony designed a 360-degree spacecraft around the theme of "sailing, watch China". On this basis, the lighting design wrapped the spacecraft with 270 degrees, and the main background was designed as a matrix lights wall to improve the overall visual height of the stage.

In order to be able to make the stage effect presents diversity, lighting team made a lot of considerations, in some songs will choose some not commonly used or special custom fixtures to create effect, such as Yang mi and Zhou Bichang’s ” the world good with you” specially customized a set of retro lights, retro lights unique warm temperature and the artistic conception, bring infinite cure sense to the audience.

The progress of science and technology also makes the light keep improving.
